Vice-President of the University of Franche-Comté in Olympism, Associate Professor at the University of Franche-Comté – PhD in Sociology, qualified in Physical and Sports Education. He is also a former high-level athlete in judo (former athlete of international level and member of the Juniors Team of France) and he plays music (Diploma in Trumpet and in musical training at the National Region Conservatory of Music of Besançon). Since June 2021, he has been an administrator of the National Olympic and Sports Committee of France (CNOFS) as a qualified personality and since September 2022 he has been a member of the IOC Olympic Education Commission and Paris 2024 Ambassador.

His research is related mainly to the Olympic Movement and Olympic Education.

In 2012, in London, the IOC awarded him with the Pierre de Coubertin Medal.

He initiated and he is currently the Director of the first and unique Centre of Olympic University Studies and Research of France, recognised by the IOC and established at the University of Franche-Comté.

Honours: Officer of the National Order of Merit, Order of Academic Palms distinguished Officer’s Award, Gold Medal of Youth and Sports, Bronze Medal of Voluntary Military Service, Pierre de Coubertin Medal awarded by the IOC.
