The AOA was founded on June 23, 1997. Since 2004, the AOA made various presentations to all the Aruban educational authorities to promote the inclusion of Olympism in the curricula of the schools of all levels in Aruba . Also, the AOA organized a successful seminar on ‘Olympism' from 23 rd to 25 th June 2005 especially for the youth of Aruba . The Olympic Committee of Aruba has actively promoted the reactivaton of the AOA by sending participants to the various seminars and sessions on Olympism, which are being held within the world of the Olympic Movement. The first initiatives of the AOA have met with great interest in the Aruban community and there will be an extensive program with activities planned for the coming year.
