Publications: A brochure of the Guatemalan Olympic Academy in Spanish regarding the creation, functions, organization and emblems of the GOA . Furthermore, they have issued two booklets “ Book of the Activities of the Olympic Games of 2004 ” and ‘ The Olympiads and the Olympic Movement in Guatemala ”.

Objectives:

• Knowledge, preservation and divulgation of the Olympic spirit.
• Investigation, diffusion and promotion of the Olympic Movement.
• Elaboration of the programmes destined to the development of the Olympic Movement.

Functions:

• Organizes educative activities such as seminars, courses, conferences, speeches, etc.
• Organizes cultural activities, expositions, contests, artistic events, etc.
• Produces informative material.
• Organizes the Olympic Museum.
• Organizes the Olympic Documentation Center .
• Promotes the research about relative aspects to the Olympic Movement and Olympic Spirit.
• Names the commissions that estimates necessary.
• Announces and prepares the Annual Academic Session.
• Diffuses the programme of the IOA.
• Fosters relations and exchanges with entities that have a lot in common with the GOA .
• Establishes prizes and distinctions
