Ancient Olympic History

The curriculum familiarises students with the Ancient Greek civilisation, Ancient Olympia, the cultural and religious conditions which affected the origin, rise and decline of the Olympic Games in Greek, Roman and Byzantine times.

Comparative studies are made of the development of other athletic festivals in ancient Greece and sports in other early civilisations.
