Philosophical Aspects of Olympism

The Olympic Ideals and Philosophical aspects related to sport and Olympism, in the past, present and future are disseminated, and ethical values and aesthetic issues are examined. The curriculum explores, among others, the value of the Ideal with regard to reality, the value of participation versus winning, of contest and competition.

Also discussed is the relation among progress and harmony, sport, play and game, materialism and the spirit, body and mind.

The curriculum explores among others, the concepts of Fairness, Equality and Justice as well as Fair play and Sportsmanship.
