With the vision of inspiring the next generation of Canadians through the legacy of Team Canada and the Olympic Games, the Canadian Olympic School Program (COSP) allows children and youth to experience the Olympic Movement in schools, classrooms, online learning and at home. The programme offers over 100 free online education resources aimed at sparking discussions about the Olympic values, telling captivating stories, and engaging Canadians in adopting healthy lifestyles.In addition, Destination Tokyo provides students the opportunity to join Team Canada athletes on a journey to Japan. With over 360000 downloads in less than 1 year, Destination Tokyo is inspiring the nation to strive to achieve their best. In collaboration with the Embassy of Canada to Japan, Destination Tokyo has been translated to Japanese with the goal of sharing these resources with educators across Japan.Throughout the Spring of 2020, the COSP spread the We Are All Team Canada message through the creation of Canadian Olympic Activity Calendars. Young people across the country were encouraged to engage in daily physical activity, get inspired by Team Canada athletes, and ultimately, be Olympic at home in support of their community. Olympic ice dance champion Tessa Virtue and Paralympic swimming star Benoît Huot have teamed up as hosts for Team Canada Champion Chats (TCCC), a programme launched by the Canadian Olympic nCommittee, Canadian Paralympic Committee and Classroom Champions. The TCCC incorporates three different four-week curriculums that each culminate in a massive, national live chat featuring Team Canada Olympic and Paralympic athletes, with over 17,000 views during the first two live chats of the year.Located inside the Canadian Olympic House in Montreal, the Olympic Experience provides an educational and interactive journey into the world of Canadian Olympic athletes. Since its launch in June 2018, around 15,000 visitors have experienced this amazing and inspiring exhibition.
