The International Olympic Academy delegation, consisted by the IOA Director Dr Makis Asimakopoulos and the Head of NOAs/NOCs Relations of the IOA, Ms Alexandra Karaiskou, held a constructive meeting on 15th June, at Beijing Sport University (BSU) with the leadership of the Chinese Olympic Academy.  The meeting was attended by the IOC Member, Vice President of the Chinese Olympic Committee and President of the Chinese Olympic Academy, Ms Li Lingwei, the President of BSU, Mr Zhang Jian , along with senior officials, Olympic Education experts and business partners from both the COA and BSU.

The leaders explored a wide range of collaborative opportunities designed to reinforce the synergy between the IOA and the Chinese Olympic Academy.  Discussions focused on joint educational initiatives aimed at enhancing Olympic Education in China and underscoring the IOA’s vision to strengthen the key role of National Olympic Academies in promoting Olympic Education all over the world.  

The IOA remains committed to empowering the work of the Chinese Olympic Academy, as well as enhancing the NOAs’ role worldwide, fostering educational alliances across societies.
