The National Olympic Academy of Italy continued to work in 2019 with the same passion and will. From June 7 to June 9, 2019, it organized the XXX Session entitled "The horizons of physical and sports education, at school and out of school". The Aeronautical Academy, in the wonderful environment of Pozzuoli in Naples, welcomed more than 100 students from the Universities of Mechanical Engineering of Italy who attended the Session with great enthusiasm. The Academy has successfully organized the two-year competition "Art and Sports", which is still successful in Italy. The theme this time was "Truce and Olympic Peace" and was actively attended by 80 students from the Academies of Fine Arts. The paintings, graphic designs and sculptures were exhibited at the Giulio Onesti Training Center in Rome from December 10 to December 18. The awards for the three best works were presented on the 25th February during the National Council of the National Olympic Committee. The Academy announcedwith great sadness the death of Ugo Ristori, its Secretary- General for years, on 14 June, who was succeeded by Gianfranco Carabelli. The Secretary-General had undertaken all the major events such as the annual sessions, the "Art and Sport" competition, as well as all the publications of the Academy. He has been for many years President of the Italian Association of Popular Sports, which was recognized by the Italian Olympic Committee. He then served at the National Olympic Committee, being in charge of the Youth Games and the Sports Week. His passion for sports eventually led him to the Olympic Academy where he had been offering services until the last moments of his life. Even when he was ill, he was following the actions of the Academy. Farewell UGO!
