IOA's resolution in the memory of George Andreadis
RESOLUTION
The Ephoria of the International Olympic Academy in itsextraordinary meeting after the announcement of the death of
GEORGE ANDREADIS
decided to publish the following resolution in his memory:
George Andreadis had been for many years a prominent figure of the Hellenic as well as the International Sailing, with dozens of distinctions in Greece and abroad.
He participated in two Olympic Games and held key positions in many governing bodies of the sport on an international scale. He was a founding member of the Hellenic Olympian Association. For his multilateral action in the field of Sailing, he was honored by several of its administrative sport institutions. The International OlympicCommittee honored him with the high distinction Olympic Order for his services in the Olympic Movement.
In addition to the above, George Andreadis was a great supporter of the International Olympic Academy and its educational work.
The IOA Ephoria also decided:
1. to express a condolences message to the family of the deceased.
2. to deposit a symbolic amount in his memory for the preparation of the nationalsailing team.
3. that the IOA President, Isidoros Kouvelos, will attend his funeral service.
4. to publish this resolution in the press as well as on the IOA’s social media.

Ψήφισμα της ΔΟΑ στη μνήμη του Γεώργιου Ανδρεάδη
ΨΗΦΙΣΜΑ
Η Διεθνής Ολυμπιακή Ακαδημία, σε έκτακτη συνεδρίασή της Εφορείας της, μετά την αναγγελία του θανάτου του
ΓΕΩΡΓΙΟΥ ΑΝΔΡΕΑΔΗ
αποφάσισε να εκδώσει το παρακάτω ψήφισμα στην μνήμη του.
Ο Γεώργιος Ανδρεάδης υπήρξε για πολλά χρόνια μια εξέχουσα προσωπικότητα της Ελληνικής και Διεθνούς Ιστιοπλοΐας, με δεκάδες διακρίσεις στην Ελλάδα και στο εξωτερικό. Συμμετείχε σε δύο Ολυμπιακούς Αγώνες και ανέλαβε καίριες θέσεις σε πολλά διοικητικά όργανα του αθλήματος σε διεθνή κλίμακα. Υπήρξε ιδρυτικό μέλος της Ένωσης Συμμετασχόντων στους Ολυμπιακούς Αγώνες στην Ελλάδα. Για την πολύπλευρη δράση του στον χώρο της Ιστιοπλοΐας τιμήθηκε από διάφορους φορείς του Αθλήματος ενώ από την Διεθνή Ολυμπιακή Επιτροπή με την υψηλή διάκριση Olympic Order για τις υπηρεσίες του στο Ολυμπιακό Κίνημα.
Ο Γεώργιος Ανδρεάδηςυπήρξε, πέραν των ανωτέρω και θερμός υποστηρικτής της Διεθνούς Ολυμπιακής Ακαδημίας και του εκπαιδευτικού της έργου.
Η Εφορεία τηςΔΟΑ αποφάσισε επίσης:
1. Να εκφράσει θερμά συλλυπητήρια στην οικογένεια του εκλιπόντος.
2. Να στηρίξει με ένα συμβολικό ποσό στη μνήμη του την προετοιμασία της Εθνικής Ομάδας Ιστιοπλοΐας.
3. Να παραστεί στην εξόδιο ακολουθία του εκλιπόντος με τον Πρόεδρο της Ισίδωρο Κούβελο.
4. Να δημοσιεύσει το παρόν Ψήφισμα στον Τύπο και σε όλα τα μέσα κοινωνικήςδικτύωσης της ΔΟΑ.
