The opening of the works of the 64th Session for Young Olympic Ambassadors
The President of the Hellenic Republic Mrs Katerina Sakellaropoulou declared at the Lighthouse of the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center the opening of the works of the 64th International Session for Young Olympic Ambassadors of the International Olympic Academy, which will be held in Ancient Olympia until June 21.
The main topic of this year’s session is: “The athlete insociety” with the special topic: “The athlete in modern society: inspiring & fostering unity.”
ΙΟΑ President Mr. Isidoros Kouvelos, welcomed the Young Ambassadors from all over the world, sending a message of peace: “In a few days the Olympic flame will burn over the Olympic Stadium of Paris, the Seine and Eiffel Tower, conveying the ideas and Values from Ancient Olympia to the capital of France and through it to the whole world.
The Olympic Games of 2024 have been rightly characterised as the most challenging Games in the modern history of Olympism! This is the first time that Games are organised with the sound of guns and death cries of many civilians. Two major armed conflicts are taking place in two particularlyfragile parts of the world.
The Olympic Movement is being put to test once again! However, this time developments are even more dramatic! In Berlin in 1936, in Munich in 1972, in Moscow in 1980 and in Los Angeles in 1984, the Movement had to fight and stand up for its ideals and Values against those who attempted to exploit the Games in order to promote their political and ideologicalpositions...
At that time Olympism won! Is it able to do so once again?For the Flame of Olympism to stop military operations, even for a short while?
Do sports and the Olympic Games have the power to impose apause in military operations, or even better a cease fire?
The “Ode to Sport” by Pierre de Coubertin is more relevantthan ever, for which he was awarded the gold medal in literature in the 1912Olympic Games in Stockholm.”
The Deputy Secretary General of the Hellenic Olympic Committee, Mr. Iakovos Filippousis conveyed the message of the President of theInternational Olympic Committee, Dr. Thomas Bach ahead of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. "The athletes will show us what greatness humans are capable of with all their excellence, determination and resilience. This power of sport will make the Olympic Games Paris 2024 a great symbol of human excellence and unity of all human kind in all our diversity. These expectations are shared by billions of people around the world. In these difficult times we are living through, people are fed up with all the hate, the aggression and negative news they are facing day in and day out. In their hearts – in all our hearts – weare longing for something which brings us together. We are longing for something that gives us hope.
In Paris, the athletes will inspire us with their achievements – they will inspire the world by living our Olympic motto: Faster,Higher, Stronger – Together.
This is why I would like to compliment the International Olympic Academy, under the great leadership of its President Isidoros Kouvelos, for putting the spotlight on the role of the athlete in society at this International Session. Athletes are not only at the heart of the Olympic Games– the athletes are the heart of the Olympic Movement. You could not have chosena more appropriate topic to focus on in this Olympic Year.
Athletes not only inspire the world through their achievements at the Olympic Games. Many of them go to become role models through the uplifting work they do to give back to their communities. With the rigorous programme that President Kouvelos and his team have undoubtedly prepared for you, I am sure you will discuss many examples during your International Session of how also beyond the Olympic Games, athletes are makinga difference in their communities around the world.”
On behalf of the Hellenic Olympic Committee, the A’ Vice President and Mayor of Thessaloniki Mr. Stelios Aggeloudis addressed to the Young Ambassadors. “For many years now, the annual International Session for Young Olympic Ambassadors has been an institution not only for the International Olympic Academy, but for the whole of Olympism, as tomorrow's ambassadors of the Olympic Movement prepare themselves at the premises of the Hellenic Olympic Committee in Ancient Olympia.
The same will happen this year: for two weeks young men and women from all over the world will exchange ideas about the legacy of the Olympic Games, will learn about their history and will be inspired by the principles and values that govern them.
In addition to educating young people, the Session for Young Olympic Ambassadors offers an excellent opportunity to underline the timeless contribution of Olympism to modern culture and society and highlights the keyrole played by the International Olympic Academy throughout time as a pioneer in the dissemination of Olympic education, thus constituting a special culturalinstitution and a unique field of dialogue and development of ideas.
I will seize this opportunity to congratulate the Presidentof the International Olympic Academy, Isidoros Kouvelos, as well as his colleagues at the IOA, for the high-level work they are doing in highlighting,at global level, education based on Olympic values.”
The IOA President Isidoros Kouvelos, awarded the honorary distinction "Olympia" to to Mrs Gianna Angelopoulos-Daskalaki for her contribution to the excellent organization of the Athens 2004 Olympic Games.
Upon receiving the award, Mrs Gianna Angelopoulos-Daskalaki said: “Personally, i am proud to have been a part of that wonderful adventure. And I accept this award with a sense of honor and gratitude. I do not accept this award on my own account, but on behalf and in the name of tens of thousands of people who worked or volunteered at the Athens Games. In the nameof the 10 million Greeks who made the success of the Games their personal bet, without whom we would never have achieved success. And had in their hearts the memory of the Games as a bright peak to which we all stepped on together", said Ms. Gianna Angelopoulos-Daskalaki.
The "Athena" Honorary Distinction was awarded to the National Olympic Academy of Bahrain with the award being received by the President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee, Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa.
The Opening Ceremony coordinated by the IOA Director, Dr. Makis Asimakopoulos, was attended among others by the Minister of State Makis Voridis, the Member of the Parliament Dora Bakoyannis, the Governor of the Bank of Greece Giannis Stournaras, the Secretary General of Sports Giorgos Mavrotas,the former Chief of the Hellenic National Defence General Staff, Konstantinos Floros, Mr. Theodoros Angelopoulos, Mrs Marianna Latsis, the President of the International Fencing Federation Emmanuel Katsiadakis, the President of the Olympic Academy of Saudi Arabia, Prince Fahd bin Jalawi bin Abdulaziz bin Musaed and the French Ambassador in Greece Laurence Auer.
Τhe Contemporary Music Orchestra of ERT under the direction of Mr. George Aravidis and the internationally renowned singer Mr. George Perris performed the musical parts of the event, while the Bank of Greece Employees' Choir performed the Olympic and Greek National anthem.
The Session will be attended by 140 young people from 80 countries, while 20 coordinators and 11 speakers will contribute to the Session.

Depuis le Phare du Centre Culturel de la Fondation Stavros Niarchos, la Présidente de la République Hellénique, Mme Katerina Sakellaropoulou, a déclaré ouverts les travaux de la 64e Session Internationale pour les Jeunes Ambassadeurs Olympiques de l’Académie Internationale Olympique qui se tiendra à Olympie jusqu’au 21 juin.
Le thème principal de la session de cette année est : « L’athlète dans la société », avec un accent particulier sur : « L’athlète dans la société moderne : inspirer et favoriser l’unité ». La session accueillera 140 jeunes participants provenant de 80 pays, tandis que 20 coordinateurs et 11 conférenciers y contribueront.
Le président de l’AcadémieInternationale Olympique, M. Isidoros Kouvelos, a souhaité la bienvenue aux nouveaux ambassadeurs du monde entier, envoyant un message de paix: « Dans quelques jours, la flamme olympique brillera dans le stade olympique de Paris,la Seine et la Tour Eiffel, transférant les idées et les valeurs de l’ ancienne Olympie à la capitale de la France et, à travers elle, au monde entier.
Les Jeux Olympiques de 2024 ont été caractérisés, et à juste titre, comme les Jeux les plus difficiles de l’histoire moderne de l’Olympisme! C’est la première fois que des Jeux sontorganisés sous le bruit des armes à feu et les cris de mort de nombreux civils.Deux conflits armés majeurs dans deux régions particulièrement sensibles de la planète...
Le Mouvement olympique est ànouveau mis à l’épreuve! Mais beaucoup plus intensément cette fois-ci et beaucoup plus dramatiquement! À Berlin en 1936, à Munich en 1972, à Moscou en 1980, à Los Angeles en 1984, le Mouvement est appelé à combattre ses idées et ses valeurs contre ceux qui tentent d’exploiter les Jeux pour promouvoir leurspositions politiques et idéologiques.
Puis, l’Olympisme a gagné!Est-il à nouveau en mesure pour la flamme olympienne d’arrêter, même pour untemps, les opérations militaires? Le sport et les Jeux olympiques ont-ils lepouvoir de forcer une pause, voire une cessation, de la guerre? Plus que jamaisd’actualité est l’Ode au sport de Pierre de Coubertin, qui lui a valu lamédaille d’or en littérature aux Jeux olympiques de Stockholm en 1912. »
Le secrétaire général adjoint du Comité olympique hellénique, M. Iakovos Filippousis, a transmis le messagedu président du Comité international olympique, Dr. Thomas Bach avant les Jeux olympiques de Paris 2024. « Les athlètes nous montreront la grandeur de l’accomplissement humain avec leur excellence, leur détermination et leur résilience. Ce pouvoir du sport fera des Jeux Olympiques de Paris 2024 un symbole d’excellence et d’unité de toute l’humanité dans le respect de la diversité. Ces attentes sont partagées par des milliards de personnes dans le monde. En ces temps difficiles que nous vivons, les gens sont fatigués d’être inondés quotidiennement de haine, d’agressivité et de nouvelles négatives. Dans leur cœur, au plus profond de notre cœur, nous attendons avec impatience quelque chose qui nous unit. Nous aspirons à quelque chose qui nous donne de l’espoir.
À Paris, les athlètes nous inspireront par leurs exploits – ils inspireront le monde en vivant notre devise olympique : Plus vite, plus haut, plus fort – Ensemble. C’est pourquoije tiens à féliciter l’Académie internationale olympique, sous l’excellente direction de son président Isidoros Kouvelos, d’avoir mis l’accent sur le rôle de l’athlète dans la société lors de cette session internationale. Les athlètes ne sont pas seulement le cœur des Jeux Olympiques, ils sont aussi le cœur du Mouvement olympique. Vous n’auriez pas pu choisir un thème plus approprié pourcette année olympique.
Les athlètes n’inspirent pasle monde uniquement avec leurs exploits olympiques. De nombreux athlètes serendent aux Jeux pour devenir des modèles et donner quelque chose à leur société après cette expérience fructueuse. Avec le programme rigoureusement organiséque le président Kouvelos et son équipe ont sans aucun doute préparé pour vous, je suis sûr que vous discuterez, au cours de cette session internationale, de nombreux exemples de la façon dont, au-delà des Jeux olympiques, les athlètes font une différence dans leurs communautés à travers le monde. »
Au nom du Comité Olympique Hellénique, le Premier Vice-Président et Maire de Thessalonique, M. Stelios Aggeloudis, s’est adressé aux Jeunes Ambassadeurs.
Lors de la cérémonie, le président de l’AIO, M. Isidoros Kouvelos, a remis la distinction honorifique « Olympia » à Mme Yianna Angelopoulou-Daskalaki pour sa contribution à l’excellente organisation des Jeux Olympiques « Athènes 2004 ». « Personnellement, je suis fière d’avoir fait partie de cette belle aventure. Et je reçois ce prix avec un sentiment d’honneur et de gratitude. Je n’accepte pas cela en mon nom, mais au nom des dizaines de milliers de personnes qui ont travaillé ou fait du bénévolat aux Jeux d’Athènes. Au nom des 10 millions de Grecs qui ont fait du succès des Jeux leur pari personnel et sans qui nous n’aurions pas eu ce succès. Et ils ont gardé dans leur cœur le souvenir des Jeux comme d’un sommet brillant vers lequel nous avons tous grimpé ensemble", a déclaré Mme Yianna Angelopoulou-Daskalaki. En outre, la distinction honorifique « Athena » a été décernée à l’Académie nationale olympique de Bahreïn, le prix ayant été reçu par le président du Comité olympique de Bahreïn, Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa.
La cérémonie d’ouverture, coordonnée par le directeur de l’AIO, M. Makis Asimakopoulos, s’est déroulée en présence, entre autres, du ministre d’État Makis Voridis, de la députée Dora Bakoyannis, du gouverneur de la Banque de Grèce Yannis Stournaras, du secrétaire général des sports George Mavrotas, de l’ancien chef de l’armee Konstantinos Floros, de M. Theodoros Angelopoulos, de Mme Marianna Latsis, du président de la Fédération mondiale d’escrime Emmanuel Katsiadakis, Le président de l’Académie olympique saoudienne, le prince Fahd bin Jalawi bin Abdulaziz bin Musaed et l’ambassadrice de France en Grèce Laurence Auer.
La partie musicale de l’événement a été interprétée par l’Orchestre de musique contemporaine de l’ERT sous la direction musicale de M. Georgios Aravidis et chantée par l’interprète de renommée internationale George Perris, tandis que le Chœur des employés de la Banque de Grèce a également participé, interprétant l’hymne olympique et national. La session rassemble 140 jeunes de 80 pays, tandis qu’il y aura 20 coordinateurs et 11 conférenciers.

H έναρξη των εργασιών της 64ης Συνόδου των Νέων Ολυμπιακών Πρεσβευτών
H Πρόεδρος της Δημοκρατίας κα Κατερίνα Σακελλαροπούλου κήρυξε στο Φάρο του Κέντρου Πολιτισμού Ιδρυμα Σταύρος Νιάρχος, την έναρξη των εργασιών της 64ης ΔιεθνούςΣυνόδου της ΔΟΑ για Νέους Ολυμπιακούς Πρεσβευτές, που θα διεξαχθεί στην Αρχαία Ολυμπία ως τις 21 Ιουνίου.
Το βασικό θέμα τηςΣυνόδου είναι: «Ο αθλητής στην κοινωνία» και το ειδικό Θέμα: «Ο αθλητής στησύγχρονη κοινωνία: εμπνέοντας και προάγοντας την ενότητα».
Τους νέους Πρεσβευτές από όλο τον κόσμο, καλωσόρισε ο πρόεδρος της Διεθνούς Ολυμπιακής Ακαδημίας, κ. Ισίδωρος Κούβελος, στέλνοντας μήνυμα ειρήνης: «Σε λίγες ημέρες η Ολυμπιακή φλόγα θα λάμψει στο Ολυμπιακό Στάδιο του Παρισιού, στον Σηκουάνα και στον Πύργο τουΆιφελ, μεταφέροντας ιδέες και Αξίες από την Αρχαία Ολυμπία στην πρωτεύουσα της Γαλλίας και μέσω αυτής σε ολόκληρο τον κόσμο.
Οι Ολυμπιακοί Αγώνες του 2024 έχουν χαρακτηριστεί, και δικαίως, ως οι πιο δύσκολοι Αγώνες της σύγχρονης ιστορίας του Ολυμπισμού! Είναι η πρώτη φορά που οργανώνονται Αγώνες κάτω από τους ήχους των όπλων και τις κραυγές θανάτου πολλών άμαχων πολιτών. Δύο μεγάλες ένοπλες συγκρούσεις σε δύο ιδιαίτερα ευαίσθητες περιοχές του πλανήτη…
Το Ολυμπιακό Κίνημα δοκιμάζεται για άλλη μία φορά! Πολύ πιο έντονα όμως αυτή τη φορά και πολύ πιο δραματικά! Στο Βερολίνο του 1936, στο Μόναχο του 1972, στη Μόσχα του 1980, στο Λος Άντζελες του 1984, το Κίνημα κλήθηκε να δώσει τη μάχη των ιδεών και των Αξιών του απέναντι σε εκείνους που επιχείρησαν να εκμεταλλευτούν τους Αγώνες για την προώθηση των πολιτικών και ιδεολογικών τους θέσεων…
Τότε, ο Ολυμπισμός νίκησε! Είναι σε θέση και τώρα, για άλλη μια φορά, η Φλόγα του Ολυμπισμού να σταματήσει, έστω και για λίγο, τις πολεμικές επιχειρήσεις; Έχει τη δύναμη ο αθλητισμός και οι Ολυμπιακοί Αγώνες να επιβάλουν ένα διάλειμμα, αν όχι κατάπαυση, των πολεμικών επιχειρήσεων;
Απόλυτα επίκαιρη σήμερα παρά ποτέ άλλοτε, είναι η «Ωδή στον Αθλητισμό» του Pierre de Coubertin, που του χάρισε το Χρυσό μετάλλιο στη λογοτεχνία στους Ολυμπιακούς Αγώνες του 1912 στην Στοκχόλμη.»
Ο Αναπληρωτής Γενικός Γραμματέας της Ελληνικής Ολυμπιακής Επιτροπής κ. Ιάκωβος Φιλιππούσης μετέφερε το μήνυμα του προέδρου της Διεθνούς Ολυμπιακής Επιτροπής, Δρ. Τόμας Μπαχ ενόψει των Ολυμπιακών Αγώνων Παρίσι 2024. «Οι αθλητές θα μας δείξουν τη μεγαλοσύνη των ανθρωπίνων επιτευγμάτων, με την υπεροχή, την αποφασιστικότητα και την ανθεκτικότητά τους. Αυτή η δύναμη του αθλητισμού θα αναδείξει τους Ολυμπιακούς Αγώνες Παρίσι 2024 ως σύμβολο αριστείας και ενότητας όλης της ανθρωπότητας με σεβασμό της διαφορετικότητας.Αυτές τις προσδοκίες συμμερίζονται δισεκατομμύρια άνθρωποι σε όλο τον κόσμο. Σε αυτούς τους δύσκολους καιρούς που ζούμε, οι άνθρωποι έχουν κουραστεί να κατακλύζονται καθημερινά από μίσος, επιθετικότητα και αρνητικές ειδήσεις. Στις καρδιές τους, στο βάθος της καρδιάς όλων μας, προσβλέπουμε σε κάτι που να μας ενώνει. Λαχταρούμε κάτι που μας δίνει ελπίδα.
Στο Παρίσι, οι αθλητές θα μας εμπνεύσουν με τα επιτεύγματά τους – θα εμπνεύσουν τον κόσμο βιώνοντας το Ολυμπιακό μας σύνθημα: Πιο γρήγορα, πιο ψηλά, πιο δυνατά – Μαζί. Γι' αυτό θα ήθελα να συγχαρώ τη Διεθνή Ολυμπιακή Ακαδημία, υπό την εξαιρετική ηγεσία του Προέδρου της Ισίδωρου Κούβελου, επειδή σε αυτή τη Διεθνή Σύνοδο έθεσε ως επίκεντρο τον ρόλο του αθλητή στην κοινωνία. Οι αθλητές δεν είναι μόνον η καρδιά των Ολυμπιακών Αγώνων – οι αθλητές είναι και η καρδιά του Ολυμπιακού Κινήματος. Δεν θα μπορούσατε να επιλέξετε καταλληλότερο θέμα γι’ αυτό το Ολυμπιακό Έτος.
Οι αθλητές δεν εμπνέουν τον κόσμο μόνο με τα επιτεύγματά τους στους Ολυμπιακούς Αγώνες. Πολλοί αθλητές πηγαίνουν στους Αγώνες για να γίνουν πρότυπα και να προσφέρουν κάτι στις κοινωνίες τους μετά από αυτή την εποικοδομητική εμπειρία τους. Με το αυστηρά επιμελημένο πρόγραμμα που ο Πρόεδρος Κούβελος και η ομάδα του έχουν αναμφίβολα προετοιμάσει για εσάς, είμαι βέβαιος ότι θα συζητήσετε, στη διάρκεια αυτής της Διεθνούς Συνόδου, πολλά παραδείγματα για το πώς και πέρα από τους Ολυμπιακούς Αγώνες, οι αθλητές κάνουν τη διαφορά στις κοινότητές τους σε όλο τον κόσμο.»
Χαιρετισμό απηύθυνε εκ μέρους της Ελληνικής Ολυμπιακής Επιτροπής ο Α’ Αντιπρόεδρος και Δήμαρχος Θεσσαλονίκης, κ. Στέλιος Αγγελούδης: «Eδώ και πάρα πολλά χρόνια, η ετήσια Διεθνής Σύνοδος για τους Νέους Ολυμπιακούς Πρεσβευτές, αποτελεί θεσμό όχι μόνο για τη Διεθνή Ολυμπιακή Ακαδημία, αλλά για ολόκληρο τον Ολυμπισμό, καθώς στις εγκαταστάσεις της Ελληνικής Ολυμπιακής Επιτροπής στην Αρχαία Ολυμπία, προετοιμάζονται οι αυριανοί πρεσβευτές του Ολυμπιακού Κινήματος.
Το ίδιο θα συμβεί και φέτος, αφού για δύο εβδομάδες νέοι και νέες από όλο τον κόσμο θα ανταλλάξουν ιδέες για την κληρονομιά των Ολυμπιακών Αγώνων, θα διδαχθούν την ιστορία τους και θα εμπνευσθούν από τις αρχές και τις αξίες που τους διέπουν.
Πέρα από την εκπαίδευση των νέων, η Σύνοδος για τους Ολυμπιακούς Πρεσβευτές προσφέρει μια εξαιρετική ευκαιρία για την ανάδειξη της διαχρονικής συμβολής και συνεισφοράς του Ολυμπισμού στον σύγχρονο πολιτισμό και την κοινωνία και αναδεικνύει τον πρωτεύοντα ρόλο που διαδραματίζει διαχρονικά η Διεθνής Ολυμπιακή Ακαδημία ως πρωτοπόρος στη διάδοση της Ολυμπιακής παιδείας, συνιστώντας ένα ξεχωριστό πολιτιστικό ίδρυμα κι ένα μοναδικό πεδίο διαλόγου και ανάπτυξης ιδεών.
Με την ευκαιρία αυτή, θέλω να συγχαρώ τον Πρόεδρο της Διεθνούς Ολυμπιακής Ακαδημίας Ισίδωρο Κούβελο αλλά και τους συνεργάτες του στη ΔΟΑ για το υψηλού επιπέδου έργο που επιτελούν αναδεικνύοντας σε παγκόσμιο επίπεδο, την εκπαίδευση πάνω στις Ολυμπιακές αξίες.»
Στην τελετή, ο Πρόεδρος της ΔΟΑ κ. Ισίδωρος Κούβελος απένειμε την τιμητική διάκριση «Ολυμπία», στην κα Γιάννα Αγγελοπούλου-Δασκαλάκη για τη συνεισφορά της στην εξαιρετική διοργάνωση των Ολυμπιακών Αγώνων «Αθήνα 2004». «Προσωπικά είμαι υπερήφανη που ήμουν μέρος αυτής της υπέροχης περιπέτειας. Και παραλαμβάνω αυτό το βραβείο με αίσθηση τιμής και ευγνωμοσύνης. Δεν το αποδέχομαι για λογαριασμό του εαυτού μου, αλλά εκ μέρους και στο όνομα δεκάδων χιλιάδων ανθρώπων που εργάστηκαν ή ήταν εθελοντές στους Αγώνες της Αθήνας. Στο όνομα των 10 εκατομμυρίων Ελλήνων που έκαναν την επιτυχία των Αγώνων προσωπικό τους στοίχημα και χωρίς τους οποίους δεν θα είχαμε αυτή την επιτυχία. Και κράτησαν στην καρδιά τους την ανάμνηση των Αγώνων ως μία λαμπρή κορυφή στην οποία ανεβήκαμε όλοι μαζί», είπε η κα Γιάννα Αγγελοπούλου-Δασκαλάκη.
Επίσης, έγινε η απονομή της τιμητικής διάκρισης «Αθηνά», στην Εθνική Ολυμπιακή Ακαδημία του Μπαχρέιν, με το βραβείο να παραλαμβάνει ο Πρόεδρος της Ολυμπιακής Επιτροπής του Μπαχρέιν Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa.
Στην Τελετή Εναρξης που συντόνισε ο Διευθυντήςτης ΔΟΑ κ. Μάκης Ασημακόπουλος, παρέστησαν μεταξύ άλλων, ο Υπουργός Επικρατείας Μάκης Βορίδης, η Βουλευτής Ντόρα Μπακογιάννη, ο Διοικητής της Τράπεζας Ελλάδος Γιάννης Στουρνάρας, ο ΓΓ Αθλητισμού Γιώργος Μαυρωτάς, ο πρώην Αρχηγός ΓΕΕΘΑ ΚωνσταντίνοςΦλώρος, ο κ. Θεόδωρος Αγγελόπουλος, η κα Μαριάννα Λάτση, ο Πρόεδρος της Παγκόσμιας Ομοσπονδίας Ξιφασκίας Εμμανουήλ Κατσιαδάκης, ο Πρόεδρος της Ολυμπιακής Ακαδημίας τηςΣαουδικής Αραβίας, Prince Fahd bin Jalawi bin Abdulaziz bin Musaed και η Πρέσβης της Γαλλίας στην Ελλάδα Laurence Auer.
Στο μουσικό μέρος της εκδήλωσης ήτανη Ορχήστρας Σύγχρονης Μουσικής της ΕΡΤ υπό τη μουσική διεύθυνση του κ. Γεώργιου Αραβίδη και τραγούδησε ο διεθνούς φήμης ερμηνευτής Γιώργος Περρής, ενώ συμμετείχε και η Χορωδία των Υπαλλήλων της Τράπεζας της Ελλάδος, η οποία ερμήνευσε τον Ολυμπιακό και Εθνικό ύμνο.
Στη Σύνοδο, παίρνουν μέρος 140 νέοι από 80 χώρες, ενώ θα υπάρχουν 20 συντονιστές και 11 ομιλητές.
